I've been watching a lot of the He-Man and She-Ra DVDs that have come out recently and found myself wondering why they changed Catra's design for the show so radically from her design as a figure. So here's my take on it.

i had the toy when i was about seven or eight! it looked just like your art! i even had this big pink cat that she used to ride or something! thanks for the 80's flashback to childhood!

I really like that Catra art.

After looking at my sister's toy and drawing a bit I think the TV show designs mighta come first. I mean that crest on her corset .... it kinda looks like a VERY stylised Horde symbol. I mean, the crystal is a head, it's pointy (liek the beak), and the prongs on the sides have the same numer of points as the Horde's symbol design.
